My cat recently clawed his way through our screen door, so now we have to get it replaced. It is great that there is a PVC coated option to prevent damage done by pets. Is there a screen that combines this with the benefit of allergy protection as well?
I have never known that there were so many different types of screens with such specific purposes. It is fascinating that something like an allergy screen could be really effective for something like this. I have a problem with this in my family, especially in the Summer. I think that an allergy screen would be perfect for us, I will be looking into it; thank you!
It is good to know that there are many options when choosing to replace or repair a screen. Knowing what type of screen you have would really help in the repair process; I have no idea what types of screens I have! This list will help me make the decision of which type to choose when I replace my screens! Thanks for sharing!
That’s true that I hadn’t realized that there were so many screen options. I would like to have more protection from UV rays, so the solar shade ones sound nice. It’s just a fact of life that I burn easily since my skin is so fair. I wonder if they take longer to install.
This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that solar shade screens can block out up to ninety-five percent of UV rays. I had no idea that a screen could make such a big difference in radiation from the sun! A couple of the screens on my windows are in bad shape and need to be replaced, so I’ll definitely look into getting some solar shade screens to replace them. Thanks for the great post!
Thanks for the tips. I honestly didn’t know there was much of a choice when it came to getting screens. Now that I’m replacing some of my screens it seems like the options are endless. There are screens for protection, allergies, sun, etc. making it hard to choose. Are all of these screens equally good? If so, how do I choose?
Great job going over the different varieties of screens. Discussing your needs with the professionals should help you decide what is best. Thanks so much for sharing!
I am replacing a bunch of windows and screens in my home. I liked this article, and I didn’t realize that there was an option for screens that are for pets in order for advanced protection. I’ll have to invest into some of those so thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the listing. This is a project I am getting ready to undertake, however, I am out of my comfort zone on this one. It is a subject I know little about. Thank you for the education!
I didn’t realize that there were pet friendly screen options. With two cats that love to walk and claw on the sills this seems like a great option for me. I will have to look into getting these installed in my home.
I had no idea there were so many different types of door and window screen! I can definitely see how something like an invisible screen would be great if you had a view. I imagine there are also screen options available designed for increase security.
