Savvy Consumer Tip: Rental Scammers Are Taking Advantage of a Tight Housing Market

Posted on April 01, 2016 by Chris Bjorklund

Unlike controlling pests such as ants, fleas and cockroaches, pest control companies can’t really help with mosquito control beyond offering advice. Read more

El Niño has finally arrived in Northern California, and the rains have had disastrous consequences…for ants. According to Janet Thrasher of Thrasher Termite & Pest Control, Inc., when rainwater saturates the earth, it floods ants’ colonies and forces them to seek refuge in nearby dwellings. Posted on January 16, 2016 by Maria Onrubia

Before the storm

  • Schedule a roof inspection.
  • Make sure your rain gutter and downspout system is ready to flow.

  • Avoid walking or driving through flooded areas. Moving water only 6 inches deep can sweep you off your feet. Standing water may be electrically charged from downed power lines.
  • If your power is out,
